here’s my checklist:

^oh **** man, why did you have to remind me CoD comes out soon??

I gotta focus on school!!! haha

lol…

Great to see you have everything planned out, wish I did something similar before I transferred. My advice would be:

No need to wait for January to research scholarships.

Get any transcripts from previous colleges in your spare time, not before the deadline to send in transcripts.

When you visit each campus, go straight to the major advisor and ask them any questions you have

Have the graduation office (NOT a counselor) verify you’ve completed/in the process of completing all of the IGETC requirements long before submitting for certification

Estimate the cost of attendance for each UC

Make plans for you summer, whether it is attending summer session, working, or a vacation.

Keep orientation dates open

thanks. i’m doing my TAG for UCSB next week.

are we required to give them our highschool transcripts once we are accepted? or can we opt out of that? just wondering… one less thing to do would be nice.

Don’t quote me on this (it’s a guess) but if you didn’t use HS to fulfill the language portion of the IGETC you don’t need to.

nice list. 10 char

Also it’s never too early to know what your degree requirements are. You can make up potential schedules, sort classes by priority (which you need to take and what year). See if you can access course websites and/or see what textbooks are required. Try checking now because presumably you’re transferring into the fall semester and some courses are only taught in fall and/or by certain professors.

March 1st, 2010 you can start signing up for summer school (at UCLA at least, probably other campuses too.)

Might be a little tricky if you do so before getting in because it would be on a separate “visiting student” account. I’m sure they can swap it to your official account if you get in.

I checked some of the schedules for Fall 08 & 09 for UCSB, and I hope that the classes get better because what they’re offering seems so uninteresting and doesn’t pertain what I want at all.

really?? is there an initial enrollment you have to complete before being able to register for summer school? and do you know how much it costs?

i thought for UCSB you do the TAG on the application because it’s electronic, is there something you need to do in september?

Registration fee of $350. $250/unit. (included IEI fees)
Anyone can sign up.

[Enroll and Register-How to Enroll howtoenroll](http://summer.ucla.edu/EnrollRegister/howtoenroll.htm#visiting)

You can either do it on the application or send in the paper work. A student who does submit a TAG form will receive a written confirmation along with a copy of UCSB’s TAG criteria.

When November comes around, I plan to just do it online though.
