Last month, I was chosen as an Ervin finalist and was wondering what types of questions were asked during the interview.

My friend is a scholar at Emory, and she told me scholarship interview questions were unpredictable. Although this makes sense to me, I would like to know if anyone can provide any info on this subject! Thanks in advance!

See you during finalist's weekend for those who are invited!

For Ervin - read all you can about Ervin, his life and his purpose in life. Then figure out you compare and how you can advance the goals established by him. How do you help connect different social groups (age, ethnic, economic, etc.). That will be the general line of the questions. That being said, the questions will still be somewhat random depending on the personality of the board and applicant. Sorry, but that is about as specific as I can be.

As a freshman Danforth scholar, I went through the interview process a year ago. For my interview, the questions were mostly about items I had mentioned in my application, giving me the opportunity to share more about those experiences and influences. Good luck!
