<p>I've been posting in other threads, and have gotten responses there. But I decided I wanted to have a thread dedicated to my chances, rather than search for a bunch of posts. Anyways, here are my credentials, comment on them if you will, PLEASE!</p>
<p>Can I consider Georgia a good bet? Here's my resume!</p>
<p>GPA: 3.53 uw academics</p>
<p>Curriculum: 7 AC courses, 2 AP courses (will take 2 AP courses senior year)</p>
<p>ACT: 29</p>
<p>Location: Michigan</p>
<p>Major: Sport Administration/Management</p>
<p>ECs: Ice Hockey (captain, state finalists), Orchestra (two-time competition winner, president, 1st chair, awards within), Helped found a premier sports website on the web, write for the site currently (won an award with the site), Helped build and maintain Disc Golf course while a part of Frisbee Club, member of National Honors Society, Volunteer at local thrift shop, worked with local newspaper for 5 years (won awards during service). Candidate for class president (didn't win :-( )</p>

<p>I think you have a pretty good chance especially if you are a Georgia resident.</p>
<p>If you were an in-stater I would say you're a shoe-in, otherwise I think you have a pretty good chance.</p>

<p>My GPA at my school, weighted, all classes, is a 3.63
My GPA at my school, only academics, un-weighted, is a 3.53
My "Michigan" GPA (take out freshman year, only academics, no +/-, no grade boost) Is a 3.3.</p>
<p>yeah, a 3.3 is very low, so I'd say UM is a reach.</p>

<p>Georgia is another school I applied to, and I copied the message, and didn't edit it at the start... so I had to change the starting message, but I didn't do it quick enough, and I didn't want to go through the entire process.</p>

<p>My best advice to you is to apply early. Not because it may increase your chances (although that's also good advice) because hopefully you'll get an early acceptance and you anxiety level will drop.</p>
<p>Kines has been a "hotter" school lately, but I still think you're a good candidate. Your Michigan GPA isn't the greatest, but your school will be taken into account.</p>

<p>I heard that Kines was actually the easiest of the UM schools to get into. Is that true? BTW - on applying early, i'm done with my application.</p>
