Finance...DEGREE or EXPERIENCE?!

I started this thread after receiving "gray" advice by my HS counsellor about what is more important - Where you get your degree from, or what credentials you have to prove your abilities? In this regard, I would also like to ask you folks for advice on my particular case:

I am deciding between undergraduate programs of the Carlson School of Management @ Univ. of Minnesota, and the Commerce program @ Depaul Univ. The cost of attending Carlson for me is $16,000 / year vs. $3,000 / yr @ Depaul. I would like to know your opinions on what route I should take to secure a better future - My EFC is $3500. All opinions are appreciated!

THANX!

I think for a career in finance, the most important thing is that you have a solid degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, finance, accounting, and law...like every other industry, it's really all about who you know(or who your daddy might know).
