I was originally interested in going into a business major but after research, finance sounds like it may be better. Whats the difference between a business and finance major and what can I expect if i choose finance?

When you say business I assume you mean business admin/mgmt
Finance is much more analytical, quantitative.
At most business schools you will take the same business core classes, but then when you get into upper division you will take more classes about corporate finance, vs upper division classes about mgmt.
