My D (from CA) got accepted into USC NeuroScience pre-med track (first choice)! She wasn’t expecting it but super thrilled. Has some good UC options too. I’m a bit concerned about Cost$ at USC. Welcome letter doesn’t mention anything about scholarship or financial aid. Did everyone who qualify for merit/aid get all their financial aid OR Cost of Attendance intimation from USC? I’m a mid to upper middle class business with inconsistent incomes (and always seek value over allure of glamour/brand). I’m concerned that my finances may not always remain the same for the next 4 yrs based on my business performance. So, does it mean Full tuition is from my pocket since there’s no mention of finances/cost of attendance in the welcome package?
If your daughter applied for financial aid, you could receive the notification of the package online as soon as tomorrow. While USC says that they are committed to meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need, that is of course as they define it. FA offerings, if applicable, usually include federal and university grants, work study (a job) and loans. The balance is the family’s expected contribution. Good luck…
