Financial Aid - CONFUSING?!

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really confused because this everything about financial aid is REALLY vague, so it's really hard for me to understand some of this stuff. Or maybe it's because I'm stupid. Haha. Well anyways, I have two questions.

How exactly do we know we are approved our loans? I mean, I completed all the MPNs, counseling, and whatnot, but after all of that, nothing happened. How do they disburse it and when do they do that? Thank you guys so much, I really appreciate the help.

Is still possible to receive chancellor's/regent's scholarships later on? I didn't get any because I know I really slacked off during high school, but I really want to receive one or both of those during my later years at the university.

I really hope they improve GROWL or the methods they use to distribute information for payment, loan info/advice, etc. soon. Thank you guys, I really appreciate the help! =]

The loans should be automatically applied with any grant money. Look on growl under current activity and it should say what has been applied in credits on the bottom. It will tell you there where the money came from.

Dunno :P

1) if you have NO holds then that means you will get your loan. This means you have completed the promissory note and whatever else you need to do. If you didn’t finish something, they will HOLD your loan, so you won’t get it until you do the paperwork.

Check your CURRENT ACTIVITY. if they gave you your loan, they will put it somewhere on the bottom of the page.

you either receive it via check or direct deposit. according to growl, it will START being disbursed 9/20.

2) no, incoming freshmen only.

Oh alright. Disappointing, but it helps! Haha, thanks!
