financial aid experience

Can some of you share approx how much northwestern gave you?
Include EFC if you can, thanks!

In total, I’m eligible for (around) $53,000 in aid. The family contribution is $10,000.

63k is total cost right? That’s pretty decent, thanks

anymore? bump

Also, does anyone know if it is less likely for transfer students to get aid?

There’s a net financial aid calculator for Northwestern floating around somewhere, isn’t there? I remember putting my info in and getting a package around 60k, leaving me with roughly 3k to pay out of my pocket/student loans. Boy does it help to be **** poor.

Yup, I used the net calculator, but i don’t know how accurate it is so i made a thread to find some personal experiences

the net calc said they would give me around 15k and instead i got around 12k with 3k in loans…so not too far off

Financial aid packages can include scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study. So if the net financial aid calculator estimates you will get a certain amount, it means it can include any of these forms of assistance.

the net calc usually specifies how much grant and loans you will get

bump bump

bump, more answers please
