Mine wasn’t too great compared to other similar schools. EFC was met, but that included a loan.

Mmm, it was all right or at least my dad didn't really care. Does anyone know if they modify their financial aid package if my CSS and FAFSA profiles were from different years? My CSS was from the previous tax information and my FAFSA was from the 2007 year. I'm asking because my dad made 25k more than last year, but we added 2 more dependents, so 3 total which will all be attending college the 2008-2009 year.

Unfortunately, Bucknell's FA was not on par with another similar school. I really wished that she could have considered it but another school offered a much, much better package.

Although I am very sad, my D has decided not to visit again. She feels that if she visits Bucknell she will fall in love again and it is just not feasable financially with the other offer.

mine was very poor.
i'm really disappointed... i got much better offers from every other school i was accepted to, and bucknell is my first choice. do you think they would reconsider?

Generally financial aid awards based on previous years financial information will be estimates only and will be adjusted to reflect the correct information.

Last year, Bucknell's fin. aid offer was 12K LESS than both URochester and Colgate. UR and Colgate corrected an error that was made due to an incorrect assumption on their part. Bucknell was not interested in correcting the error THEY also made. They seemed a little bit callous, in fact.

School that D liked left a sour taste in her mouth.

Wonder if this was a case of admit-deny?

Dittoes. There seems to be very little wiggle room in the BU attitude. "Hey, ya don't want the spot, there are plenty waiting in line." And you know what? They're are.

My FA was horrible as well. My mom was so appalled that she called the school and asked if they really did look at my family's whole situation - notably the fact that, this year, my parents will be paying for two college students at expensive schools (ND and here). The guy she spoke with assured her that they had looked at everything, and it didn't sound like any reconsideration was going to be made. Sucks, too... My parents are willing to pay for my dream school as they did for my brother, but I feel so guilty - paying for all that in the long run plus grad/med school will not be easy. Ugh.

Seattle:

you will need to send a 2007 Profile or update the estimated info that they have on file.

i'm visiting campus next week and plan on meeting with the finaid office to discuss. i even qualified for a cal grant (which means i legit need some money) and i got NO aid from bucknell.
