My daughter submitted common app and suppliment a week ago. she filled the 'yes' option for need based financial aid in " future plans " section of the common app. Now the problem is I don't think we're eligible for need based FA( income over 150k) , and since she filled out the yes box, how do we correct the situation? Should we just leave it like that or should contact all the universities the common app's been sent to?
Please help.

If she has submitted to all her colleges, you will have to email them, I think. If she has only submitted to one, there is now a way to change the app before submission to other colleges. I forget how, it's a little obscure, but it's available, so she could change it for the others.

I know some colleges want the financial aid forms in at the same time as the app (EA/ED or RD) if you've checked 'yes' (don't know about Stanford) so it's worth updating them one way or another

Thanks Ailey.
My D said that when she was submitting the common app the form wouldn't get submitted until you check 'Yes ' for the FA. Did this happen to anyone else? Also, will this checking yes for need based FA hurt her admission offers ?
