Anyone have any idea when Santa Clara will mail their award letters? Although we do not qualify for need-based aid, my son was awarded a Dean's Scholarship and we are trying to get an understanding of what his merit baseed awards will be. His acceptance letter was mailed on February 6 and implied a letter would be forthcoming that would provide this information.

Try logging into ECampus on the check application status page: https://www.scu.edu/ugrad/apply/checkstatus/index.cfm
using the username/password they emailed to you. On the left, there is a link to your financial aid/scholarship information.

Have any regular decision admitted students received the amount of their merit award yet? On ECampus, I have all zeros. (Hoping for a tiny bit more than "zero.")

My son's page continues to say, award access not available. What does that mean?

Ours says "award access not available" as well. When I click on "student center" on the "go to" menu and choose "View Anticipated Aid" it just has zeros. I am hopeful it simply means that they haven't posted it yet.

Sorry about that. I was admitted early action and my information recently showed up, so I thought that they might have added it in one big batch for everyone. I'm sure it's coming soon for the rest of you

March--if you received a Dean's scholarship can you indicate amount?

i got preferred scholar for $1,100 a year. wow!!!!

bmilstead, I don't know if this will help you any because my son was admitted EA and not RD. But he did receive a Dean's Scholarship and we did not get notification of the actual dollar amount until 5 weeks after he received the acceptance. He got $9,450.

And just to clarify, that was only merit money. Like yours, our family also does not qualify for need-based financial aid.

worried_mom: thank for that great data--I suspect the amount will be similar for an RD as the scholarships are supposed to be roughly the same for the students in each class regardless of time of admission. Appreciate you sharing the info.

"Santa Clara University Merit-based Scholarships are selected during the admissions process and there is no separate application."

So you were alerted of this when you got in, and did nothing before, other than traditional FAFSA, CSS, etc? And where exactly on eCampus is the status for aid? All I have is housing and "Application is Complete"

Also, for use of the Common App, has Santa Clara downloaded your application fee? Mine still just says "Submitted"...

I got 12,000 per year at the engineering school. I applied early action and I heard back about a month ago

pamplemousse25, your application fee will stay at "submitted" in green. You can double-check two ways: Log into the Common Ap and choose "payments" from the menu on the left. It should show that the fee was paid and the date paid. You can also check your credit card statement (or your parent's credit card statement) to verify that the fee was paid.

Thanks. I just thought it was weird because other schools had "downloaded" it; maybe SCU doesn't update electronically as much (as seen in the amount of time it took for status pages to change from Incomplete Application to Complete).

I got a dissapointing 1,000 deans scholarship, and 2000 for the ace program.
Is there anyway to increase this deans scholarship? because most people i know got atleast 10,000

I wouldn't count on it. I only got $2K for dean's.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Dean's Scholarship is $12,000/yr PLUS a University Scholarship for $13,600!!

$25,600 per year!!!!!!

damn, thats half off basically hahah
