I received my acceptance letter last week and I was wondering how long the financial package would take to arrive? The dates are coming really close and I want to make a decision as soon as possible because it will be my financial situation that will place me in any college.

Hi! My name is Rob and I’m a Binghamton University Student Ambassador.

You should be able to find your financial aid package on this page: https://banapp.cc.binghamton.edu:8483/banner/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin

Login with your user ID and password and then navigate to the “Financial Aid” tab. Incoming freshmen typically get their financial aid awards around mid-March.

Just to make sure, did you send in the FAFSA and indicate Binghamton’s school code when you did so?

Thank you Rob!
I’m a bit lost right now about the financial aid package. Can you confirm that annual tuition for NYS resident is $19,949? Also, loans we have to pay back with interest is that correct?

OH MAN!!! i was just reading this and i literally blanked out. I cant believe i forgot to put Binghampton on my fasfa!!! So i did it today how long until i hear back from the school? Is it too late to get a financial aid package from them?

2017graduate: You can find the average cost of attendance here: http://www2.binghamton.edu/financial-aid/pdf/educational-costs-ugrad.pdf

The $19,949 figure was the number for the 2012-2013 academic year. I believe there was a small rise in tuition, if I recall correctly. Keep in mind that only the bolded figures in the above link would be billed to you by the university. The cost of attendance includes estimated costs of personal expenses, travel, and books/supplies, which are not something you actually pay to the university. Those figures are averages - they may vary based on what housing you room in.

Scholarships and grants are money that you do not have to pay back. Loans represent money that has to be paid back. Interest varies based on the loan. I cannot comment further than that on financial aid, as I’m not qualified to do so. If you have any questions about your financial aid award, please contact Financial Aid Services. You can find their contact info here: [Binghamton University - Financial Aid: Contact Form](http://www2.binghamton.edu/financial-aid/contact-us/index.html)

Space909: Please see the link above to get in immediate contact with Financial Aid Services. Our priority deadline for financial aid has already past quite a while ago, but it may still be possible for you to receive financial aid. Definitely call that office as soon as you can and talk to someone regarding your situation to see how you should proceed.

Hi
I am been admitted to PHD program and will enter USA as a permanent resident in July 2013 ,please inform me whether I can fill in FAFSA then and if approved use the aid for fall 2013. FAFSA org told me I have time till June 2014 but the university has not answered me yet.If I can not receive it for Fall 2013 can I ask to defer one semester ? I am really confused because I have also been admitted to Kent State uni and this financial aid can make a great difference in my decision.
thanks

Marjangh: If you haven’t already, you should file your FAFSA as soon as possible in order to receive financial aid. The sooner you submit it, the sooner you will receive your financial aid notification. Please be advised that our priority deadline for financial aid has already passed, but it is possible that aid is still available if you file immediately. Please contact our Financial Aid Services office that I linked to above with any further questions about financial aid.
