<p>Does anyone know if an outside scholarship that is paid out every year is counted as the student's income or assets for the next year? My son's outside scholarship took away his self help portion of this year's tuition bill. It was wonderful for him not to have to take out any loans. But I wonder if the financial aid office will just lower his grant money from the university for next year and we will need to come up with a substantial bit more money for next year's bill. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for any help.</p>
