Financial Aid Question(s) (Incoming Bruin)

I noticed in my financial aid packet that I stated that I was going to commute! However, I’ve been thinking about staying in the dorms, and I was wondering how that would affect my financial aid? I got a very generous financial aid packet and I do not want to jeopardize that if I were to switch from commuting to dorming!!

  1. Is there any way I could check what my financial aid would be if I were to dorm?
  2. If so, should I call the financial aid office or could I just send them a message through the message center?

Please help! I’m anxious!!

You will get more money by staying on campus because your budget increases. If you were dorming you would need to appeal.
