Here's a little background of my college history:

When I first went to college in Spring 09', I was young and on my own. Working to support myself to live. Really not ready for college, but I went because... that's what people do. Go to college. So attending college Spring and Fall 2009, my gpa was not good. It was a 1.2, so the school put me on financial aid suspension. I knew I had to try and continue on without financial aid and I would need to pay out of pocket, so for Spring 10', I took 1 class because that was all I could afford. I got a B in that class, but unfortunately my gpa was still low at 1.5. In Fall 10', I was still paying out of pocket. I took 2 classes and although passing (C and D), it barely did anything to my gpa. It was a 1.57.

Coincidentally, after I lost my financial aid, I became homeless basically. I did not have a place to live, do my studying, etc. I had some friends though so I just bounced around from one friends house to another. It was actually a very bad time in my life and was very embarrassing. After my last semester, I told myself that I need to figure out my life before I could go back to school. I got a second job and then a third job so I can get my own apartment. I did that for 2 years.

In January 2013, I finally was able to go back to school. I relocated to a different city and got a very late registration date to this new school. The only class I was able to get into was one of the ones I failed so that was good as I could replace that grade and will help with bumping up my gpa. I passed that class and my gpa finally jumped up to a 2.0! I didn't realize that until later in the summer when I was wondering if I should file a FAFSA (if I would even approve).

In Summer 2013, (while in a crisis of asking myself what I want to do with my life!) I decided to take a summer course. I was doing very well in the beginning, but since it was summer, classes do go a lot faster. And then... I had a family health situation where I had to take care of grandpa. I was still able to finish the class, but received a D. My cumulative gpa is now lower than a 2.0. I think a 1.7 or 1.8.

What I'm wondering is, should I of got my financial aid reinstated after Spring 13' because my cumulative gpa was a 2.0? Making me eligible for financial aid for summer. And then after summer, since my gpa went back down because of that one D, I would lose it again? Or be warned first? Or do I not get it reinstated at all? I just turned in all of my documents to the financial aid office at school and they will not tell me anything until it all has been processed. They need to look at my Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) before I could be granted aid. So I am very nervous and stressed that I might not pass that part of the requirements for financial aid. If I would of never taken that summer class, I would of got financial aid back, no?
