<p>Does berkeley give any type of financial aid to out of stater?</p>
<p>My son is interested in Berkeley too and would be from out of state (Texas). I have not found much to indicate what aid is available and would appreciate this information. I have been told that UC opted out of National Merit Scholarships. Anyone aware of any merit based programs?</p>
