I am entering my first year at NC State and in no means want to transfer but would like to leave the option open. I hope to do incredibly well there as I am an aspiring law student and am wondering if I am able to receive aid and or the same financial aid as a transfer than as a freshman. As money was the reasoning as to why I had to reject many schools, it would be a huge factor in transferring. Would getting a high college gpa earn me a lot of money as a transfer? Some schools I considered were UNC CH and Michigan. Thanks for any advice/help. :)

UNC-CH gives reasonable need based FA to transfers and OOS students. For UMichigan, OOS students receive minimal FA, don’t know about IS transfers. For other schools, it varies, you need to read their FA website to see what their transfer policy.
