To fill out FAFSA and other applications, what do homeschoolers do to fill it out, cause I have heard you have to have a GED or highschool diploma, so I have never filled out FAFSA or any financial aid forms.

Man, this financial aid stuff is causing me SO MUCH stress, too.

I applied with a FAFSA for local college courses, though, and I don't have a GED or diploma. I'm gonna have to be doing it again, though, mehhhh.

but I am confused, how do you apply for a fafsa without a ged or diploma, I myself am taking local college courses, can anyone help me?

As I recall, all the FAFSA asks is whether you will have a high school diploma, or will graduate from high school. (something to that effect) As a homeschooler, generally your parents are the ones who give you a diploma or decide when you will graduate. So, if it asks if you have a diploma, just say Yes. If you and your parents will consider that you have graduated, then that is all that matters. There IS no official homeschool diploma, so don't worry about it. That is what we did--made our own diploma on the computer, and we have had no problems.

We filled out the FAFSA last year and will be doing it again this year with no diploma and no GED. You don't need it. From what I understand they changed the rules recently. You used to need a diploma or a GED, but you don't any more.

I agree, it's real pain.
