<p>the financial aid office works totally independent from the admissions committee, so, though unfortunate for you, that letter doesn't mean that you're accepted...</p>
<p>well I'm an international and I got this certain letter asking for financial verification.. and then got admitted ed2 :) , so hv hope.. the myth might actually hv some weight.. though even i think it's highly unlikely.. the fin aid dept. and admissions committee are completely separate..</p>
