Financial Engineering

1)Is Financial Engineering a good major which is respected by the employers?
2)Does it have a high job prospect?
3)What are the companies that the Financial Engineers can work in?
4)What are the best Financial Engineering schools?

Note: Please don't write that Financial Engineering is not considered as an engineering at all. Because I am already sick of it.

Financial engineering is a great major.

Financial engineers have great job prospects.

Financial engineers generally work in the backroom of investment banks.

Research it yourself.

Note: You need a MFE before you can do serious financial engineering work. And it is not engineering… It is a business field.

I’ve heard that MFE majors mostly get careers that involve a lot of programming. Is this true? If so, on average, what percent of their job would involve writing programs?

Here is the link to my scholl’s MFE program

You can find there what kind of jobs do people usually get. I’m considering that program myself.
