My daughter is starting to search for audition pieces for this fall/winter (high school class of 2008) Any suggestions on how to approach this? If a student is doing these monologues many times at the Regionals, how do you keep fresh? Have several to choose from?

We seem particularly poor at this. She sent in one monologue for a summer program that we had never heard of and it turned out I read on some web site it was the most overdone ever. (It was referred to as the Tuna Fish monologue - Laughing Wild)

To those of you who are students in BFA programs - did you feel more comfortable auditioning at the school site or at regionals? Any advice about the pros and cons of either method?

Thanks for any help.
