I'm having a bit of a dilemma in my college applications. I am applying to the following schools:
- Florida State
- UFlorida
- Wake Forest
- Vanderbilt

During my high school career, I mainly participated in debate. I spent most of my time preparing for debate competitions, competing, etc. I have local, regional, state, and national recognition, and I was president/team captain for two years. I also participated in debate-related community service activities. During my junior year, I participated in the tennis team and didn't have the same level of success as in debate, but I did win "Most Dedicated". Our school had a few other ECs of worth, like robotics team, but I wasn't interested.

I am also a member of Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society, but as many of you probably know, at most schools, neither society is prestigious/mentally challenging/time consuming.

The dilemma that I am facing is this: I know many students list every single award they have ever earned, like "History Student of the Week- Jan 2004" etc. If I choose to only highlight the activities which I truly feel are of worth, i.e., debate/tennis, will I look like an honest, mature student who knows that colleges want to see the most important stuff, or will I look like I just don't have that many ECs?

I know I might be overthinking this. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!
