Finishing BS(double major) in 5 years? Post-bac afterwards?

Hey all, I'm currently a 2nd year at Rutgers, double majoring in biomedical engineering and psychology(planning on it at least). I have a few questions:

Will the second major help my application(provided my GPA/MCAT is strong)?

If i pursue this double major, how will it look if I take five years to complete it?

A little unrelated here but what is the general feeling about post-bac pre-med programs?

Thanks in advance for your help!

1.) No.
2.) If five years is normal, I don't think it's a big deal. If it's weird (as it was at my school), then it's bad.
3.) Why can't you do your prereqs at school?

i just want to emphasize what A LOT of seniors/med students have been telling me. Double majoring for the sake of boosting your application will NOT help. if you are really interested in both majors then go for it.
