First Amherst, Now Swarthmore

<p>I am posting this link from the New York Times for information purposes only. Potential applicants may want to be aware of this lawsuit recently filed against Swarthmore as they decide whether to apply. I stress that I have no insight as to the merit of this case. I'm sure others are far more knowledgeable on the matter than me and will provide more color. However, as a parent of a college age daughter I do think that awareness of this issue is important, hence this post.</p>

<p>What is interesting is that this appears to be a growing trend affecting LACs, among others...</p>

<p>This topic has been discussed in several other threads and CC user hopebrinn13 might clear this up more, but I don’t think the Clery Act Complaint is a lawsuit. The students are not suing Swarthmore like Occidental is getting sued, they are just filing a complaint.</p>

<p>@BostonBoy95 - Thank you for the clarification. However, the central issue of how to better respond to and investigate allegations of sexual assault on campus remains…</p>
