first gen college student vs first gen american?

<p>Ok, I'm a bit confused. I'm a first generation American-- both my parents immigrated to the United States in their youth, and both do not have a college-level education.</p>

<p>Is it worth noting both on an app, or will one suffice for the other?</p>
