I know that uconn takes into consideration if you are a first generation college student, but how much does this help in getting accepted?

On collegeboard.com it's listed as an "important" factor (as opposed to "very important" and "considered"). So I do think it is something they will notice, and may even be a "tie-breaker" if all else is equal. It can only help.

Good luck to you!

I doubt very much, they won't say that they will not take you because you are a first generation student. Grades, residency, and SATs will probably decide your future
