<p>not exactly. it depends on the college. some colleges view first generation status if your parents didn't attend college at all whereas others view it if your parents never completed college. check with your colleges.</p>

<p>My dad never finished HS, and my mother went to this study-at-home college thingy.
But I still put that I was first generation.</p>
