Okay, so I obviously haven't taken the ACT/SAT yet. But I just had my first FULL LENGHT practice test this afternoon. Like four hours. Killer.

Like seriously, for my first time, I have been prepping, not classes and such, but on my own, since I don't take it for a year, probably less.

Did you just feel overwhelmed. I swear, I took the PLAN (Pre-ACT) and got like 25 (ACT score range 28-31. 96% tile), and it seemed easier. This is so hard, did you have that feeling then you actually did better?

Seriously, this is crazy stuff, I hope. Or maybe I'm just illiterate and stupid.

I took my first practice test a couple weeks ago. It was so easy. I'm in 8th grade, don't even take half the time alloted, don't check, and still scored 27M 28E 30S 30R (I've improved to 34M 30ESR).

Don't worry wilmiester, the first time I took the ACT was horrible too. I made a 24 and didnt finish any section. But through MANY practice tests I got my score up to a 34. Doing well on the ACT is really just about practicing and learning the tricks of taking the test, so practice ALOT and you will do well.

When I took my practice test the week before the official test, I did one section a night. It helped me to concentrate well, and not worry a lot about fatigue. On the actual test day, all of my sections jumped 2-4 points each.

So my advice is to really "get to know" each section, then try another full practice test in one sitting.

Since you did well on the PLAN, it shows that you have the test taking-abilility to score well. Have some confidence in yourself ;)

hmm yeah considering i only have one week left till the actual test date..my goal is going to be to do two sections a day for the ACT for the next four days and full one the night before. im a crammer when it cmes to testing so i think doing a full one the night before would actually be beneficial to me.
