First SAT : 1710 Are hopes already crushed for ivy league?

1700 SAT with no practice
Up coming SAT in two weeks..
Hopefully going to practice.. Realized mistake was answering every question
How much do you think an sat can improve from 1700?

Unless you significantly improve, I don’t think you can get into an Ivy League school. Sorry.

Your mistake was not “answering every question”
I mean if you want to get into an ivy you need to answer at least almost every question.

Anyways, it depends, what year are you in? If you manage to significantly improve your school, it’s possible, but that’s a decent amount to improve.
If you work hard and go through prep books and such, it’s possible. I think most people can get to 2100+ with enough prep and at that point Ivys will at least consider you

If the test that’s coming up in two weeks is your final score, then no, you are hosed my man. Hopefully you have much more time, in which case it’s definitely possible to prepare lots!

What grade are you in? If you’re in 12th and applying to Ivies, you’re pretty much screwed. If you’re applying in a year or two, don’t worry, that is plenty of time.

Relax. Worrying about the future will get you nowhere. Study as much as you can for the next test. Take it seriously. Then wait for your scores. That’s all you can do.

And stop asking questions on college confidential that are guaranteed to elicit negative responses.
