for those attending Middlebury, have you given any thought as to what FYS you would like to have next year? if so, what are your top 4 choices?

How do you already know the options for next year? Do they do the same ones every year?

I don’t know whether or not they have the same seminars every year (I doubt it), but I do know they have the list of the fall seminars up on the website.

The link is:
[Fall 2009 Course Descriptions](http://www.middlebury.edu/academics/ump/fys/course_desc.htm)

I’ll add a current Middkid perspective. I chose my seminar based on the professor, not the course (hours scouring Middkid.com). It was one of the best choices I could have made. I ended up with one of the best professors at Middlebury, and he inspired me academically more than I can say.

I’ve heard incredible things about Smith Abbott, Armanios, and Lindholm, and I can personally say that I’ve had great experiences with Broucke. But by all means, search on your own and find a topic that fascinates you. Just try to choose a professor who you’ll want acting as your advisor for the next year and a half.
