I get so sad when I get home and there’s nothing in the mail :((
Hello! I’m also applying as a transfer student to International Trade and Marketing for the Fashion Industries program! I’m an international student with an AA in Fashion Design, do you know when acceptance letters will be arriving in the mail? I’m SUPER anxious about their decision! hope to see you all in the Fall at NYC!
Hey everybody, my acceptance packet came in the mail today for me being an outstanding applicant! I’m so happy. For anybody who wants to keep in touch with me, my Instagram account is dimtiri__aleks. That’s two underscores used between my first name and last name. I’ll follow everybody back who plans on attending FIT in the fall, and even anybody who just would like to stay in touch in general. I hope everybody hears back soon and remember – your COA changing is the signal online that you’ve been accepted before that packet event arrives.
@Virgo25AD - SO happy for you! Congrats! What a relief for you, I’m sure!
Does COA only show up if you applied for financial aid? MyFIT doesn’t even allow me to view the site map
Omg I’m so stressed out, my COA still hasn’t changed, I am going to have a panic attack and I really want to get into FIT, it’s my dream school
Does applying as a transfer have a higher chance of getting in?
Congrats @Virgo25AD you are destined for greatness. You have been a great help on here!
Quick question @Virgo25AD did your financial aid checklist change at all for you?
@Pankobreading Hey, thank you so much for your kind words. And no, my financial aid is still going through the review process. Financial aid, really, is a completely separate case altogether from your acceptance into FIT. It’s two different departments that handle those components of your application (Admissions and Financial Aid Department), so that’ll change shortly within the next month or so, as far as financial aid awards go.
@Virgo25AD Where do you live? Did you apply to the Honor’s program or did they just classify you as an “outstanding student”? Any idea what criteria they use to make that determination? Others said that in the letter they received there was info on when “non outstanding” students would get their letters. Did your letter give any info on that?
CONGRATS!!! I’m so happy for u! @Virgo25AD
My COA changed a little while ago but im still soo stressed
@Virgo25AD Regarding the COA changing…I know that you are confident that everyone who saw a change in their COA from $0 to the real COA was ultimately accepted. Do you know of anyone who saw this change but was NOT accepted??
and one more thing…along the same lines as COA changing, do you think they evaluate everyone for Financial Aid or just those who have been accepted? Isn’t that the same cumbersome process? Why would they evaluate someone for financial aid if they have not been accepted?
I’m wondering the same too @Riri54 about if anyone that had their COA change were rejected or waitlisted. My COA has been up for a while and I was required to send in a student budget letter which I did the very next day. There was a delay because of the snow storm, but I received a confirmation email two days later that it was received and it has been stuck on “pending to be reviewed” ever since. I know financial aid is a separate department, but I remember @Lexi4500 stating that her award showed up then shortly disappeared. Also, in a group me for transfer students an accepted student was able to view her award. I’m really freaking out…
Do you know what GPA would qualify someone as an “outstanding” applicant?
Hello, I have been watching this thread for a while. I received my acceptance package today for 2 Year AAS in photography and I am in the southern US on the East Coast. I also applied and was accepted into the honors program which seems like a common item within these “early” acceptances.
There was a girl who got accepted and her coa never changed and congrats!!! @Virgo25AD
@lamprey what state from southern east coast? I’m in South Florida. Are you transfer?
I’ve never seen it. And once in a while you’ll get somebody who receives their letter before it changes, but I’ve only heard of that happening on two occasions and they’re COA changed the day of their letter or a day after.
