Florida Institute of Technology and Physics

Does anyone have any info on the physics program at Florida Institute of Technology? The school is coming up as one of my son's frontrunners for now. It seems they specialize in engineering, but I'm curious about the physics side of the house. He is unsure about which direction he wants to go and wants the flexibility to change his mind if desired. He is very interested in research, and intends to go to grad school if that matters.

No info other than the physics dept website. What kind of physics is your son interested in? The faculty is either doing astrophysics or applied/experimental physics. If he’s the type to be interested in theoretical physics it’s not going to be the place for him.

Right now it seems to be particle physics. (If he ends up in engineering it’s electrical or computer). He doesn’t want to be locked in yet understandably, so is looking for somewhere that has a relatively strong program in both. FIT looks like it has a solid background in engineering, we just can’t get a good read on the physics department from the website.
