Florida State Decision 4-Results

Welcome to the Tribe! :D

Let's see who else makes it...

My last post wasn't very well written, the Housing Site did NOT indicate a acceptance, I can only take that as a negative decision.

Ohh, I'm so sorry.

Congrats to everyone!

And welcome to Florida State! ;)

How can we pay the admission deposits? does it come in the mail?

Keep trying, Ray. There's still time.

Parent we will, she isn't home as of yet and I wouldn't tell her anything unofficial like this. Her plan has been to log on at midnight and get her decision, we will let her follow that course.

It seems a bit hard to believe given her stats and performance, but admissions works in strange ways. I wouldn't expect there is any phased disclosure on the housing site, you either is or you aren't, but we will see. Hope they aren't playing the waitlist game.

Admissions deposits can be paid a number of ways. We always paid over the Internet by credit card.

Welcome ARMANDO CHAVEZ! Our records indicate that you have been accepted to Florida State University. Congratulations! You may apply for University Housing online at this time.

Congratulations to everyone who got in.

Thank you! congrats to you too!!

Woo Hoo! Congrats to Armando.

Thank you!

I'm 5/6 so far, waiting on 4 more....

Florida State University traditionally receives more qualified freshman applications for Fall Term than we can accommodate. However, after a careful review of your application, we would like to offer you admission to the University for the Summer Term (June 25 - August 3). By accepting our summer offer, you will be able to enroll in the fall as a continuing student. Please let us know of your interest in this option by completing the following webform no later than April 16: https://admissions.fsu.edu/summerofferB/.

***??? i didn apply for summer

Yeah, the point is you have to do summer if you want to go there in the fall. If you don't do summer, they won't accept you for the fall.

Lindsey has received a summer admission like Gator Potential, it will require some study here to determine if that is what will interest her, especially when she already has her UCF fall offer. Tough to gage the reaction at 5:30 but it wasn't to go to school 3 days after graduation.

I think it's great that she did get accepted. This isn't what I went to bed thinking last night.

Gator, we did know this was an option as they told us they automatically access you for the summer along with the fall. I'm sure it will have some performance related aspect for the summer tied to it.

At least she got in...

Congratulations to all!

Parent I agree, we want her to take a few days to understand the offer, talk to her guidance person and sort it out in her mind.

While we can understand that summers are important to these kids, giving up only one summer amongst many summers in your life is probably a reasonable tradeoff to get into the school of your dreams. Besides many kids don't think about the possible benefits of summer, starting early before the masses, meeting new friends and possible roomates, a lighter but still demanding schedule that gets you into the swing of things before you are doing a full course load. On the other hand though we do need to understand what they are asking for in terms of courses, load and performance to make sure it won't be a pressure cooker to continue in good standing for the fall.

She has been so committed to FSU that we want to make sure if she gives up on it, it was for the right reasons.

Would anyone who understands anything more about the summer program or has possibly been through it or knows anyone who has please post their comments.

It looks like we have at least a couple of interested parties here?

Thanks

Welcome to the Tribe: Armando, Gator  (may be time for a new name) and Lindsey!
