Hello everyone. Although I’m already aware that BC has a declining balance system when it comes to food, I am also wondering how much food is provided. When one swipes, does one have access to a variety of entrees or does one have to pick a single entree?
sorry that nobody got back to you. Nearly everything is ala carte, so you can order – and pay for – as many entrees or desserts that you desire.
My daughter (rising sophomore) told me that the joke is that the guys on campus make friends with the girls because the guys run out of money for food and then the girls buy it for them because they always have too much. A complete exaggeration, I suspect!
D is a big eater for a girl and she had more than enough money to get through each semester (actually lost quite a bit of money because most unspent funds don’t roll forward from year to year). She didn’t think she’d like the a la carte pricing, but actually ended up liking it. She was afraid she would go overboard if she had “all you can eat” dining swipes.

Our son and many of his friends relied on this to get them through the last week or two of each semester.
