A2Wolves, the polls are very strange. PSU got more votes than Michigan. The two teams have similar records and Michigan actually beat PSU in a convincing fashion. Furthermore, Michigan has won 4 straight whereas PSU has lost 2 straight. There is no way PSU should have more votes than Michigan at this stage.

I think Indiana has an easy schedule this year (Michigan and OSU, two of the top 3 teams in the Big 10, are off) and should finish with a 7-5 or better record. I think 8-4 or 9-3 is very realistic.

again, my point proven.. indiana lost again despite easy buckeye/wolverineless big-ten schedule. incompetent
indiana’s SO ranked
indiana(unranked, not receiving votes) 2-3 (big ten) 5-3 (overall with meaningless win over weak non-league opponents)
michigan(19th) 4-0(big ten) , 6-2 (overall with loss including 5th ranked oregon)

again, “It’s not an argument at this point.”

Michigan’s losses came courtesy of a blocked FG and to #5 ranked Oregon…

Actually, I prefer to think of it along a different line. I just think Michigan sucked at the begining of the season. Henne and Manningham were off, our kicking game was pathetic and our defense was, as expected, very young and in need of game-time experience. The loss to Appalachian State was an aboration. It really took our worst game in years…and probably one of their best games ever, for the upset to unfold. Oregon just dominated our then weak team.

It would seem that Henne and Manningham are now playing close to their potential, our kicking game is no longer a concern and the defense has grown up quickly. Illinois and Purdue were supposed to have dangerous spread offenses but we managed to control them. Even without Hart, Michigan managed to control the clock against Illinois.

Assuming we stay healthy )particularly our skill players on offense) and do not overlook anybody, I like our chances against Minnesota, MSU and Wisconsin.

1) Why are you talking about Indiana? How is it revelant to the thread?

2) Why are you bumping? Nothing I said at the time was incorrect.
