For any music lovers out there... I sent this in to Universities

Aditya K.'s Profile - Indaba Music

thats the link to my profile where i loaded one song that i made/produced and sent to the universities, one being MIT..

Tell me what you think?

Sincerely,

Ambitiousteen

(P.S. Im on facebook to)

wait, so you played this?

are u a violinist?

I made it... no... i am a Disc jockey... i took samples from my friend playing strings on the violin... and made sure i made from scratch this track.. he is playin mozart tunes and i just sampled him... rest was all me

Nice. I really love techno in general. All kinds. (House obviously, since I am near Chicago!) Just something about those ripping electro lines.... I liked the song, but it IS different from what I am used to. Keep up the good work!

thanks Vhire, glad to hear you liked it. I am getting gigs so tahts a good thing.. trying to get an internship with my local radio station to help me get better

this is cool. i'm a violinist, so i love it haha :)

^^haha thanks man... classical music/desi music is good to work with when i remix/make club jams

ok, I'm confused. I thought all music has to be emailed to the auditions@mit.edu?
so is there a way we can get the adcoms to listen to our stuff, not the music department?

btw, nice remix. much better than what my friend tried doing once. haha, XD.

unless u can some how make the orchestra have room for turntable DJ i dont think im suppose to send it to auditions... lol.. and its a way of creativity for me

btw, are we allowed to send links to youtube videos (of us playing something)?
it would only have the audio obviously.

no.. they specifically say if u play an instrument, send it to MIT music department... im glad i dont play an instrument cuz i can psyche the admission committee lol with DJ ing... finally where playin and instrument has no benefit

Web sites. Last year, many students left me comments asking about how to submit work on the web. While we will make every effort to view any URL you ask us to, we can make no guarantee that we will be able to visit every web site. Certainly, you should include the URL in the Part 2 of your application; you should also tell us why we should visit the site and what we will find there.

^^ i sent in a CD dont worry lol... this is for the public to view

Woah, awesome, I like it - I hope it ends up working in your favor. Even with an ounce of musical talent, I could never imagine doing something like this.

^^woah i never got such a super super pleasant response like that before... I am super glad you like it waterintoacids... thank you so much for the great comment

hmm, so is it better to send CD's?

cause the site says to send a mp3 file to auditions@mit.edu

or are the CD's for unofficial music submissions?

Yes! I love this kind of music! It definitely sounds like a very good breakbeat tune, sans horns. Keep it up.
