For Chem, Electrical and Mechanical Enginenering, which of these schools is toughest?

I was wondering, for Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, at the moment, currently, which of the following schools would you say have the most rigorous, demanding curriculum, where getting over a 3.5 drives kids literally insane and leads to crying during tests and nervous breakdowns? I.e. let's say that for these engineering majors, Category 1 would be difficult but manageable, to where the students can get a 3.5 or higher and still have a real social life and not find themselves overwhelmed and miserable. Category 2 was where the stress level and workload is more competitive to the point that a real social life would have to be sacrificed for even the most capable engineers if they were planning on sleeping at all and Category 3 is the absolute hell on earth, where the workload is obscene and the grading curve makes betting 3.7 or higher almost impossible, the atmosphere is totally cutthroat and kids break down and cry during tests and homework and joke about suicide. So would the following be Category 1, Category 2 or Category 3:

Carnegie Mellon
U of Berkeley
Harvey Mudd
Swarthmore
MIT
Cornell
Georgia Tech
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Duke
Vanderbilt
Lehigh
U of Virginia
UNC Chapell Hill
Emory

We all joke about suicide.

Generally we just wind up going out for ice cream instead, though.

Purdue, good sir.

Purdue is worse and sucks more than Georgia Tech, Cornell, RPI, Harvey Mudd and Carnegie Mellon? Somehow I HIGHLY doubt that.

No no, I didn’t even read the thread. I thought OP was asking for school suggestions!
