I'll be starting in the fall - any advice?

although this is about MIT, I think it is universally good for any freshman: <a href=“50 Things | MIT Admissions”>http://mitadmissions.org/blogs/entry/50_things

As far as something specific to Stanford, apply to a lot of Introsems in your freshman year my DS really enjoyed them.

Good luck!

Not a current student but graduated 2 years ago. One piece of advice would be to get to know the people around you and don’t stress too much about getting straight A’s. Everyone around you will be stressed out and struggling. Its the nature of the people who get into to Stanford. The people who you live with and have classes with will be some of the most amazing people you’ll ever meet. The people around you will be true world changers and will go on to do impressive things. I already know people in the NFL, MLB, guys who created SnapChat, Clinkle, and numerous people in Med School/Grad school. It was amazing to get to know these people and realize how special the people around you are and how awesome it’ll be to get to know them for 4 years.

Congrats and Good Luck. :)

How many people get straight A’s? Is the curve that crazy?
