For the undergraduate program - which school would be better
for someone wanting to major in Statistics Data Science (BS)?

Better in terms of academics? Compare the curriculum for each school

Better in terms of finances? Dependent upon your financial situation

Better in terms of social life? Dependent upon student.

I will say that SDSU has a great Mentorship program which pairs students with former alumni in their field of study.

I know of several California students that have attended UofAz (not for that specific major) and are doing well, but stayed in Arizona due to local job opportunities.

Thanks Gumbymom. I hadn’t heard of the mentorship program at SDSU and the My Map is very useful. I should have been more - better in terms of strength of the department, attention to the undergraduate students, ability to get courses.
