For Student from Britain, can A level test scores could be converted into SAT scores?

I heard this news from a friend who is studying in England, she told me that she doesn't need to take the SAT since she has her A Level Scores and neither her TOEFL because of her IELTS.

Is this true?

Thanks in advance :)

Nope, they are not convertible. The SAT (especially the Reasoning Test) and the A-levels are testing for two different things.

Not at all. SAT and A-Levels are two different things. But completed A-Levels can substitute SAT subject tests (according to Yale’s policy)

Yeah, some schools will accept recent A Levels in place of SAT subject tests (check their individual policies on that) but most I’ve seen require the SAT regardless.

Each school makes its own policy about exams, so you really truly do need to investigate this on a school-by-school basis. If you have questions about a specific school’s policy, it is OK for you to email the international admissions office and ask.

Absolutely, at MOST competitive schools, they require the SAT or ACT exams which are available in Britain (http://www.fulbright.co.uk/media/pdf/UGStudy/Exams_At_A_Glance_-_Undergraduate.pdf</a>). They will however know how to interpret and view A-level grades. At some universities, you may substitute A-levels for other exams, but these are a clear minority.

Alright, I’ll my friend about this, thanks for all your support! :)
