haha i'm sorry, but it's financial decisions. i know it sucks if u put parents but theres no way thats right =(

computer geek,do you realize you are making unwarranted assumptions?you are forcing your ideas in to the passage.

i know why narcissa is very adamant about this question.if she misses it,no 800. :( bittersweet:) i know.we are in the same boat.

let's just wait and see what evil collegeboard says.

I'm thinking about it in a logical way, and that's just additive to the material in the actual text, which is pretty definite.

I apologize if I seem to be forcing my ideas; I'm just trying to help settle this

You guys won't actually know which questions you got wrong unless you actually remembered that this question was #17 on Section 4 (completely made up..)or w/e...

gash: that, plus the fact that i know i'm right ;)

some one should google and find that short passage.then we will see who is right. :)

Feed come one you got help me here :(

Can anyone remember all the choices from the parents vs financial decisions question? Because I think I put a different choice, but the choice I thought I selected was actually directed toward the previous question (the one with innovative as the answer).

here's how to know if it's right ;)
what would YOU put down if you could change your answer now?

i would still put down financial decisions

i don't like preaching but here is what shelock holmes said
"when you have eliminated the impossible, the one that remains however IMPROBABLE is the solution"
parents is not the absolute answer but shrewd decisions is out of the picture.;)

idk why people don't think its financial decisions. it wasn't a difficult question.

wait how is shrewd decisions out of the pictures -_- it makes perfect sense no doubt SIGH WHY IS THIS ARGUMENT STILL GOING?????????? (:

lol I'd love for the score report to come back and have this question denoted as an easy one

it WAS EASY!!!!! :) gosh guys! haha jk

... You guys need better things to do.
That is all.

does this seem familiar at all? :

Another compelling aspect of Cirque du Soleil's success is that it did not win by taking customers from the already shrinking demand for the circus industry, which historically catered to children. Cirque du Soleil did not compete with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey's Circus to make this happen. Instead it created uncontested new market space that made the competition irrelevant. It appealed to a whole new group of customers - adults and corporate clients prepared to pay a price that is several times as expensive as traditional circuses for their unprecedented entertainment experience. Significantly, one of the first Cirque productions was titled "We Reinvent the Circus".

idk...i was lookin around the internet and i came across that...it's an excerpt from a book entitled "blue ocean strategy".
you can find it on google books btw.

stephan there are several commentaries on circus du soleil. But i was not able to find the one which appeared on our test

THE FIRST LINE... is very familiar... because...it states the correct answer. :p

'Nuff said.

On a side note, I think that this proves the answer is adults slash parents. When stephan googled 'Cirque du Soleil' and came up with THIS info (which quite clearly says that the Cirque's MAIN accomplishment aka success was that it 'REINVENTED' the circus by attracting a NEW CROWD (instead of just children)), it's quite safe to say that's what the passage on the SAT was intended to convey.

It does look pretty familiar...

^ Hah. What did you put for this question?
