For those accepted...

Tech is my first choice right now, and I probably won't apply anywhere else now. (Depends on how lazy I am.) So, just out of curiousity..

What major did you choose?

Is Tech anyone's first choice? Or a strong possibility?

computer science.. (actually, I don't know if GT's CS is really good or not?)

I need to go visit~ if I like the campus a lot (I know I like atlanta!), it will probably be a strong possibility

I hope you get in! :)

I've heard it's pretty strong in CS... or how difficult the classes are O_O

Ah :). I think the campus is pretty standard (it's not Emory or anything), but the people there remind me of myself. XD

I got in already, but thanks! ^_^

Oh thats good. :D

Haha does it have lots of grass? Grass is very essential to me. @@; Prolly sounds weird, but its true.

Oops I read your post wrong rofl. Dumb me.

They actually demolished a building in the middle of the campus and created a large, sloping green. Also, they have the largest artificial surface in North America, for sports activities. ;) It is lighted and used very actively day and night.

One weird thing about the campus that I could do without, is a whistle that blows at :55 every hour. It's too much like an industrial factory at quitting time, rather than the chimes heard at other academic institutions.

Tech is very much my first choice and I was accepted just this week. My declared major is Industrial Design, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with that for now. If my first semester doesn't confirm my interest in that area I might switch to Aerospace engineering.

Tech was a very nice campus, better than Auburn and SCAD (The other two I visited).

I chose Management, and Tech is my first choice. It is very likely that I'll be there next fall.

Computer engineering at GT is my first choice, and I definitely hope I get in for next fall.

Hey, I actually go to Tech. I went in declaring aerospace engineering but have changed. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Tech is a very hard school. Personally I dont love it but it is ok. The guy to girl ratio is insane and the work load can be stressful but there is a ton of school spirit. One warning though...the dining hall food is horrible.

What did you switch to? How was the aerospace engineering program?

On my application, I put down Biomedical Engineering as my major, but it is very likely to change to Computer Science, Chemistry, or Computer & Electrical Engineering. Ahh, so confused, I am!

nukem, what year are you? What's the hardest class you've had so far?

As a general question to anyone who knows... how the heck do I access the Admitted Students section?! I've tried to login many times, put in my GT ID, and it still doesn't work.

You have to register separately... it's a little bit silly but that's how it's set up.

Nukem287 -

Do you live on east campus? I've heard the food at Woody's on the west side is much better than the food at Brittain. My son lives on the west side and says the food isn't bad.

WaxTheories.. I'm still really confused. (I guess I'm just retarded like that). Could you possibly describe in detail how you accessed it? Thank you! ^_^

Gatech.edu -> Prospective Students -> Undergraduate Students -> Freshman -> Admitted students -> Click the bold-lettered "Registration Page" link near the end of the text

You'll enter your GTID there.

See, I've been doing that. Still doesn't work, though. Augh. I guess I'll have to keep trying or e-mail them.

Thanks, though!

Tech is TOTALLY my #1 choice right now. i havent been accepted yet but i think i may be getting my letter soon. i read that if your application status is set to complete...you'll find out soon after or something etc.anyways, im declaring aerospace engineering as of right now. that may change to mech engineering depending on the fluctuation of my interest and/or realization of how insecure the aero. industry is.

bump.......

to 2sonmama,
yes i do live on east campus. I have been to both and woodys is better. The food at brittain is horrible.

to aruma,
my hardest class thus far has been physics. Barely got a C in there. You know it is hard when class test averages are in the 20's and 30's
