For those not attendiong orientation (info inside)

I just got done calling the orientation office. I recommend doing so as soon as possible. The number is (310) 206-6685. I got my date, and they give you some other info you don't really need (unless you have yet to use MyUCLA or URSA). It takes all of 5 minutes.

The important thing is you get your enrollment date. I got july 27th at 7am. originally she was going to give me August 17th or some nonsense. I just bsed for 5 minutes and got her to move it up. She put me on hold when she did it, so it may require an override from a superior. While it is not June 30th, you should be able to get most your classes 1 month after the first enrollment date. Especially since the other orientation run after you.

Hope that helps.

Try not to laugh when they screw up reading their prompt :D

GODDAYUM How annoying the girl on the phone was. Talking with her mouth full of food the entire time!!! NOM NOM NOM so your enrollment NOM NOM NOM date is NOM NOM NOM just a sec. NOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

So I got August 3rd.
I tried to do your trick, but I bet a lot of people tried by the time I called, so she was like NOPE NOPE NOPE.

■■■

some worker told me it was a random process…?

Haha…I eventually decided to go to the orientation just because I wanted to ensure I’ll be able to enroll classes in Fall lol.

I got August 3rd too… Is that like the last day or something? I feel like I got shafted.

Not a random process… I think it was first come first serve.
And it’s “irreversible”.
I should’ve just done what tihuan did :(

Hey don’t you wanna try attending an orientation as well  Since I enrolled mine two days ago and I got it for 7/2! Or does the “irreversible” actually mean your enrollment date won’t change even if you decide to go to an orientation?

That’s exactly what it means… After I got off the phone I realized it was dumb of me to settle with the date they gave me… Might as well just go to orientation! But too late now :/

Errr, UCLA should definitely change their policy about this. It’s seriously frustrating and annoying!

But I doubt the classes will be filled up that fast though:/ You’ll still get what you want. Keep thinking positively, buddy :)

Yah I don’t think classes will fall that fast with the way the 2 pass system works.

I know the 200 spots open in my History of Italy class 16th-19th century, and ancient roman history class probably won’t will before the end of July :)

I only fear my directed research class that has 20 spots! :(
