For those of you in the finance field...

For investment banking and prestigious Consulting firms, prestige is good and your major doesn’t really matter. As mentioned above, they pride themselves on getting the Duke or Ivy super smart music major to train as they wish. Read the book about a Duke college student navigating the investment banking internship at Duke. “Chasing Zeros” by Laura Newland…$3.99 for the ebook.

For the hundreds of other corporations and banks that hire out of college, certain ones recruit with a set amount of schools and have relationships with them and interview on campus. Usually they like the ** local ** top publics or privates. Major matters: Econ, Finance, Accounting and actuarial majors are most sought after and most prestigious for the non Ivy, Duke, etc… Recruits.

Like others say the most important thing in AS is the tests… from my reading for some reason the Canadian Schools seem to graduate kids w the most tests under their belt… But we talked to kids w 4/5 at Temple which is super impressive… also Drake had high number

Glad to hear your stats are in running to qualify for Temple scholarships - they give major $$merit!! The Temple Presidential Scholarship is FULL TUITION! I can’t tell you how impressed we were with the program. If you qualify for the Presidential they also put you in Fox Business honors and Honors living Learning housing… the faculty running these programs are top notch!! (Literally they win national awards for being outstanding faculty) And the kids we met in the programs were friendly, smart, motivated … we were super impressed!

@Chardo 20k/year would be comfortable, 25k/year would be doable but a bit of a stretch. I’ve done some NPCs with schools that meet 100% aid(not HYPSM level) and I’ve gotten everything from 11k-25k so schools with good FA seem to be affordable. Also anywhere I have a chance at a decent scholarship. That’s why I mentioned Pitt earlier but I’m not sure how much I can get.
