For those of you with 3 wks and counting...

Wow! dictatoranna, those rooms are incredible!!
Z - our middle son was into whales & dolphins way back when and we had a pretty cool themed room. Blue tube lights in strategic places can make the room glow at night (we used theme at the crown moulding, baseboards & around the headboard at different times). A large well-placed aquarium or even a bowl of fish are almost essential - Bettas don't need much care at all. We never added a bubble machine, but I bet little girls would get a kick out of it. A fisheman's net on the wall loaded up with coral, starfish & shells is kind of fun too.

Just a couple of ideas (free of charge!) that may or may not work for you - the undersea theme is so fun! Hope you have a blast setting it up - I know the girls will LOVE it!

Is this off topic?? :)

LOL!

WAY off topic, but who cares? ;)

I can't do fish. I just got two cats. :D

You can probably buy fish decals that go on like wallpaper at... a wallpaper store or Home Depot. Our dentist also has a fish tank that's pretty neat ... no actual fish just a revolving cylinder with an aquatic scene that makes the fish look like they're swimming around inside a fish tank that's lit up from the inside. I'll have to ask him where he got it for ya.

Anna has a point - girls do like mermaids...but don't seem to care for mermen as much.

Mermen? LOL Oh sealion! That so made me giggle. If you only lived in my head for a second you would understand. Its the whole mind picture of a merman. LOL It ain't pretty!

Zap. I dunno buddy. Two cats? Are you gonna turn into one of those cat lady's & end up with 100 or so around the house? Promise not to...k? Look for "wallies". They make some super cute wall decals like sealion says. Easy to put on, even a cat person can do it.

Navy2010, they just send the injured on to classes and things go on as normal until they heal, then they take the oath. I was so wound up during parent's week-end when I saw a little girl on her crutches & I just cried when Jamz told me that she couldn't do the oath. She'd torn something in her knee and had to have surgery. The boy took her his twizzlers & slim jims from a boodle box when she was in the hospital. Talk about sweet! Who needs flowers I say! Slim jims will make you feel better! LOL

No chance. They're getting fixed as soon as they're old enough. :)

Or you can great many great fishy wallpapers and borders and cut out the shapes/pictures you like and apply as directed. They will hold up, I've done it.

Z - A small bookcase with ocean life books and two kiddie size bean bag chairs (don't go cheap on these - you'll regret it I know from personal experience) so the little ones can crash (time out?) every once in a while.

This link is for Zap. Never turn you're back on those critters. They're all cute, fun and furry until they see something they want then theres no stoppin' 'em.

You always make me laugh.

JM-LOL! Wall art!

Z- did you know anyone in the Naval Architecture program at USNA, and what they are doing now? Our son is very interested in that program.
