Last year, Otterbein’s FA package arrived at our house (Virginia) on March 18th, 5 days after “the call.” Hope they’re equally quick for you guys!

The mail lady missed me chasing after her anyways LOL

Waiting on Otterbein FA too, and then one more school and it will be decision time. Hopefully after this week I can post on the “Final Decision” thread!

@entertainersmom . . . I shared this with MTMajor, so she may have shared with you, sorry if it’s a repeat. This financial aid calculator was exactly right for our Otterbein figures. Other schools’ calculator figures were not. Mind you, this was two years ago, and may not be exact now, but it may give you a ballpark. <a href=“Financial Aid Estimator - Otterbein University”>http://www.otterbein.edu/public/FutureStudents/FinancialAidAndScholarships/NetPriceCalc.aspx

FYI - I’ve used it about 50 times and I keep getting the same answer LOL

That’s funny @MTMajor.

Thank you kksmom! I’ve used it and I’m hopeful it is correct.

When D got accepted to her number one last week, we already knew that it was a match for us financially, so I (yes I said “I” because she found it hard to turn down people who had accepted her), emailed the other schools (using her email account) to decline their offers. With her knowledge, of course.

I remember reading about this during last year’s cycle and kept it in my mind to make sure to notify schools ASAP.

We feel extremely fortunate that she had choices, but we knew going into this that the schools she chose were affordable for our family and that we probably wouldn’t receive any aid, other than loan offers. Fortunately, her FA package came quickly from her number one, so we are done.

Now, can someone gift us $25000? :)

@sydsim : Don’t you mean $25000 x 4 years?
