most of you will probably get in, but just to let you know if one of you gets unlucky enough to be screwed over, a student last year in a good public high school near mine got rejected with a 34 ACT and a 4.0 GPA (in-state), although I don't know the whole story and something fishy/questionable probably happened, just stating that no one is a guarantee, but obviously some applicants have a MUCH higher chance than others aka a 33/3.9 will look much better than a 26/3.7

and yeah congrats to anyone who has gotten in to UMich so far, it is a great school and honor to be accepted into, many people would kill for the chance you are getting to go to UMich

Shifty, I fully plan on getting in, and I will probably jump in front of a bus if I don't. Though my gpa and test scores aren't elite or anything, I just know Michigan has a fetish for students who takes huge course loads, and they understand that the IB is the absolute gayest thing in the world. You're taking seven IBs, so more power to you; I'm doing six.

Depends on the year, last year was 7 IB cuz we had Theory of Knowledge and no electives. This year it's down to 6 with one elective (i'm doing ta). And I know exactly what you mean, we just had to turn in our Extended Essays today, the mean hours of sleep for IB students last night at my school was like 3. I had mine done but i dunno how we get all the stuff done we need to get done haha. I entered as a sophomore too after moving, so it was a ridiculous work pace adjustment from public high school

Oh, I wasn't counting TOK as an IB class. I thought you were taking 3 sciences or something. I also handed in my extended essay today. I wouldn't worry though. If you turned in all your material in Sept/October, then you'll be fine.

^not based on last year's results (you can look at the threads).....Most OOS with more than 2-3 B-B+'s were deferred EA and then waitlisted....yes, there were exceptions but not the norm.....

Yeah this was a rough draft for us too. Dunno when the real deal is in. And no just one experimental science (physics) and one social science (psych).

And per wolverine access everything was in the 8th of October, so that probably means it was all in a little before that anyways. I hope to be hearing with the next round of decisions...next friday I'm assuming?
