I saw your other thread. School is boring for many kids. But maybe, 5APs instead of 4 will make it more boring instead of less. Give up trying to achieve glory and success through your daughter.

Course load no different than my gifted son's was senior year (4 AP's and 1 "Advanced" course, plus 2 others). He also ran CC and music plus academic teams etc., and he goofed off (senioritis?)- not too heavy a load for OP's D based on the other thread's info. It may be atypical, but not for gifted kids, especially for those who don't need to study much and need less sleep than average. My son wasn't stressed by the courses at all; remember AP courses are only like average introductory college courses, not the difficult ones they can take later. Son's grades did not reflect his knowledge (A's on tests, but he sometimes lost points on homework), he wasted time when he could have been doing the homework... Fortunately that is all behind him and he's thriving in a college Honors program. Some students easily handle this course load, others work extremely hard - for OP's D and my son it makes HS less boring than taking 6 (the minimum #) or 7 regular classes. This is separate from the issues of the other thread.
