for those who lost hope?

<p>Getting into a good college makes a good motivational target for your years in high school. It is not the only purpose of doing well in HS, but there's nothing wrong in it being the top one.</p>

<p>Imagine you're admitted...and all you had to do is PASS your classes...and that's something you can do by just shwoing up every day. Would you find a topic in each subject that interests you and pursue a few of those with a passion just for the heck of it? Would you continue with the same passion at least a few of your X-currics, even if your college acceptance did not depend on it? If you answered yes to these questions, yet getting into a good college was your top goal in high school, you're fine. </p>

<p>Otherwise, maybe not.</p>

<p>getting into a top school was not the top goal. constantly challenging oneself and pursuing your interests and goals was. great colleges offer ample opportunity for the pursuit such goals. even if low key offer such opportunities.....you should be perfectly happy at such places.</p>
