<p>Holy cow - today is the first day I learned of CAP - my step-daughter was admitted to UTSA (and some other safeties) prior to the due date for the UT Austin application and chose to be lazy and never submitted it. She was pretty sure she wouldn’t get in so it was a fair mistake at the time. But now, she will have a much harder road to UT Austin as a straight up transfer (especially into McCombs). The girl she will be rooming with at UTSA in the fall was CAPPED and I had to look it up to find out what the heck that meant!</p>
<p>My D is one year ahead and went out of state for college - never applied to UT so I had no help for step-D. I feel terrible for her and hope UTSA is easy enough for her to rock a 4.0!!! Who knows, maybe she will end up liking it and stay - she may not have a choice!</p>
